Job Description:
Assistant / Consultant Arboriculturist Needed
Our client is looking for a talented Assistant / Consultant Arboriculturist to join their team. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum qualification in arboriculture to level 4 on the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) and have hands-on experience with BS 5837 survey and reporting. They should also have a strong understanding of arboricultural identification, line management, quality assurance, as well as recruitment, training, and staff development.
Responsibilities
- Conduct BS 5837 surveys and reporting using surveying equipment and digital tools.
- Identify pests, diseases, and fungi affecting trees and assess associated risks and lifespan.
- Provide line management to a team to ensure consistent high-quality outputs.
- Recruit, train, and develop staff to build a skilled and diverse team.
Qualifications
- Minimum qualification in arboriculture to level 4 on the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF).
- Proficiency in BS 5837 survey and reporting, as well as the use of surveying equipment and digital tools.
- Strong arboricultural identification skills, including knowledge of pests, diseases, and fungi.
- Experience in line management and quality assurance.
- Possession of a full UK driving licence.
Day-to-day
- Perform BS 5837 surveys and utilise digital tools for reporting.
- Assess and monitor tree health, identifying potential risks and lifespan.
- Provide line management to a team, ensuring high-quality results.
- Recruit, train, and develop staff to enhance the team's capabilities.
