Arboricultural Consultant
Overview
Our client, a forward-thinking and innovative environmental consultancy, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Arboricultural Consultant to join their dynamic team. Responsibilities
As an Arboricultural Consultant, you will:
- Manage a diverse range of projects from initial bidding stages through to delivery and client feedback.
- Provide expert technical advice on complex planning issues and development schemes, including BS5837 tree quality surveys.
- Prepare Arboricultural Impact Assessments, Method Statements, and fee proposals, taking a leading role in your team.
- Conduct tree risk assessments and deliver findings to clients and developers during project team meetings.
- Support the regional team, including Operational and Technical Associates and Directors, with business development, sales efforts, and client care.
- Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering their growth and development.
- Contribute to the growth of the business through team expansion and sales support initiatives.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Proven experience in BS5837 consultancy and arboricultural planning.
- An academic qualification in arboriculture or a related environmental discipline.
- Technical (or higher) membership with the Arboricultural Association.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present findings effectively.
- Excellent organisational and project management skills.
- A full UK driving license.
- A commitment to upholding the company’s values and ethos.
Day-to-Day
Your daily activities will include managing and delivering high-quality arboricultural projects, collaborating with a supportive and innovative team, and engaging with clients to provide expert advice. You will also have the opportunity to mentor junior colleagues, contribute to business development, and play a key role in shaping the future of the team.
